A springboard to a lifetime of happiness!

Happy Anniversary to Hannah and Ben

Weddings aren't just one special day - they are a springboard to a lifetime of happiness! We at LJ Events LOVE to keep in touch with our couples beyond their special day, as they set out on a lifelong journey together.

This time last year we were honored to be a part of a beautiful wedding for Ben and Hannah.  The couple has since welcomed adorable twin girls into their world!

Here is a throwback to their wedding day in honor of Ben and Hannah's one year anniversary!

Hint: Symbolic gifts for your first anniversary are "paper" or "clocks".  A wristwatch is always a good gift.  A book - counting as paper - can be very sentimental. Here are some more ideas for your first anniversary.

Guests came to celebrate at the Westin Ballroom in Philadelphia. Carl Alan's floral designs transformed the room into a chandelier studded wonderland and music from CTO Park Central brought the room to life and multiple generations to the dance floor.

The bride stunned in a dramatic gown, floor length veil and shoes by Valentino. (We hope she has been able to get multiple wears out of those shoes!)

Champagne flowed and fun was had by all! Thanks to Philip Gabriel Photography they will be able to relive their day for years to come!

Fast forward! Lauren and Jamie of LJ Events catch up with Hannah and her adorable twinsies.

A Midsummer Night’s Dinner Party

The occasion for this celebration wasn’t to mark a rite of passage; it was merely a celebration of friends, life, health and summer! Held in a Center City Courtyard, it was more fun than going to a cramped restaurant with a large group and more sophisticated than your traditional summer BBQ.  HINT: Apartment or condo community spaces can make a great venue for all occasions with a few special touches and organization by LJ Events!

Drawing inspiration from the Swedish tradition of Midsummer, all of the women were adorned with hair garlands made of fresh flowers. Hairstyles by Tasha at AMS Salon were topped with artfully constructed flower garlands or tiaras made by Claudia from Petit Jardin en Ville

We had so much fun setting the 16 person table.  The floral runner in the center is a really nice alternative to centerpieces – especially when you want your guests to engage in conversation.  This stunning creation was again done by Claudia from Petit Jardin en Ville.

The plates from Anthropologie inspired the floral arrangements.  And you’ll notice the place cards were made with a simple decal on each coaster by Robyn from Chick Invitations.  The coaster was a small gift for the guests.

Catered by Seedling and Sage, the entire menu was organic and locally sourced with menu signage again provided by Robyn from Chick Invitations.  Our favorite touch was the beat hummus displayed on tree stump coasters as a starter.

With no reservations there are no time limitations so guests were able to leisurely enjoy several glasses of wine and Philly’s favorite Capogiro Gilato for desert. Special thanks to Josephine at Ristorante San Marco for the Italian wine and Jenny Hobbs for the beer selections and the photography!
